Manhattan Flower

I have the Manhattan Flower embossing folder, so I tried a different twist. I love this embossing folder. I ran the whole card through the Big Shot. Then I took two different DSP and embossed each of the patterns. Then I cut out several areas of the DSP from inside the embossed areas. I glued them to the corresponding areas of the embossed Card. I added pastels to the raised areas and covered some of the white edges. My daughter and I wondered if I should have made white "stitch" marks so it looked more like an applique. What do you think?

How creative. I would like to see one with white stitching as you suggested just to see the contrast.

What a totally shabby chic look. White gel pen stiches or even real stitches. Hmmmm...what a thought!
Very cute! TFS!

I think the stitch marks would make it look like applique, could be very cute.

Holy cow that had to have taken some time - but looks WELL worth ti as it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Great work!
Hmmm I wonder if the white stitching would just jumble up the beauty? I really love the way it looks right now..... and it's hard to mess with perfection LOL!
Great Work regardless - I tried this tech using the small embosslit flower and woah, TOO tiny for that LOL, I never thought to try it out on my Manhattan Flower.... now it's a MUST!

Thank you for sharing!

Wow!That is a very clever technique! You are awesome Sarah! It would be interesting to see it with the stitching!

Great technique! I seem to be in the minority here, but I'm thinking the faux stitching would be too much. Maybe actual stitching instead with a complimentary color so it doesn't really pop too much?

The stitch marks might make it a nice country looking card but I think it is great, very artsy the way it is without the stitch marks.

Either way, it is a beautiful card and I love the idea of cutting the parts out of different DSP. Thanks for sharing
